Jane Isenberg

Cozy mystery author Denise Swanson suggested I read Jane Isenberg’s mysteries featuring Bel Barrett – Denise puts Jane into the same category as two other popular cozy writers, Carolyn Hart and Joan Hess. When I learned Bel is a community college professor, I knew I HAD to read her. In another life, I was a community college administrator and part-time journalism instructor – plus hubby and I are both members of the Class of 1970, Waubonsee Community College, Sugar Grove IL. We owe much of our success to the wonderful teachers and counselors there. Bel is very much like those dedicated instructors who worked hard to give their students a leg up on the achievement ladder, often with slim resources.
